This symbol is called the Rod of Asclepius. You see a serpent entwined-rod wielded by the Greek god Asclepius, a deity associated with healing and medicine. This symbol is still used and widely recognized in the medical profession.
In the Bible, if any Isrealite was bitten by a venomous snake, they could be cured of the poison if they would only look at the bronze snake Moses fashioned on a staff. Yet, many thought it was too simple and refused to look at the staff for healing.
Perhaps we are like that now. We have an “inner knowing” of what we need to do to build health but we often choose the “cut, burn and poison” method of health care. Some things are easy to begin our health journey. For example; water! Did you know that you should drink 50% of your weight in water each day? Did you know that your brain is 80% water? Water is very helpful to “flush” out inflammation, which can improve your chronic pain. Now that you know how important water is for helping our bodies become healthy and heal, will you commit to drinking more water or is it too easy for this small tweak to work? Where is my tribe that is ready to explore new thoughts and a simpler lifestyle to feel truly well? Let’s go!
